The City of Harare, in partnership with Helcraw Water, is installing prepaid water meters in Malvern, Waterfalls, as part of ongoing efforts to modernise the city’s water supply system.

In a notice, Acting Town Clerk Advocate Warren Chiwawa said the installation programme, which began earlier this month, is expected to be completed by July 31, 2026.

He urged residents to cooperate with installation teams to ensure the exercise is completed efficiently.

“Residents are kindly requested to cooperate with the installation teams by providing access to their properties,” reads the notice.

The rollout forms part of the city’s broader programme to introduce prepaid water metering in selected suburbs to improve water management and service delivery.
