Maxen Karombo, the Delta marketing director, said they were happy to have players of the pedigree of Otto in this year’s field.
“When you have a high-profile event you always look forward to top players and to have Otto in the field is good for us,” said Karombo.
“We are expecting to have a good field and the coming in of Otto will give us confidence and we hope it will be a competitive field.” Zimbabwe Open Committee chairman, Livingstone Gwata, said they feel really honoured to have such a high-profile player in the field.
“To have a player of Otto’s calibre in the field is good for the reputation of the event and we are happy that he has decided to come and take part in the event,” Gwata said. Otto will come into the Zimbabwe Open after taking part in only five events on the Sunshine Tour and is currently in 14th place on the current order of merit standings.
