HERDBOY IN COURT FOR MURDER OVER WAGES

H-Metro Reporter

A HERDBOY has been arraigned before a magistrate for allegedly killing his employer after an altercation over his wages.

Mkholeli Ndlovu (24) appeared before a Beitbridge Magistrates’ Court facing a murder charge.

It is alleged that on November, 13, last year, at around 9pm at Chadeda Village, Mkhokeli killed Teboka Sebata (58).

He allegedly committed the crime following a dispute regarding his outstanding wages.

The accused person was Sebata’s herd boy.

When he asked for his wages, the late Sebata told him she could not pay him as she had no money.

This angered Ndlovu who took an axe and struck her on the head and neck several times.

He took her kitchen utensils and cellphone before leaving the scene.

Ndlovu was on the run until last week.

He was arrested in Kwekwe after the police tracked Sebata’s cellphone.

Ndlovu was remanded in custody to June 7.
