HERENTALS Queens are now a point away from securing the Women’s Super League title.
Two first half goals from Maud Mafuruse and Praynance Zvawanda powered them to victory against Chapungu at Motor Action Sports Club yesterday.
They now have one hand on the title.
The Students now need just a draw in their last game of the season, when they host MSU, to be confirmed Women’s Super League champions.
They have only lost once in this campaign.
The match was played before a decent crowd with boxing champion, Kudakwashe “TakeMoney” Chiwandire, also gracing the occasion. Herentals coach, Simbarashe Dedza, said:
“I am happy and excited that we are only a point away from glory. “What’s needed now is to remain composed and approach our last match with extra caution.
“The match was difficult, but at the end of the day we showed character and I am elated,” he said
