HEXCO records 72 percent pass rate in 2025 exams – Prof Tagwira

THE Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) has announced a 72 percent pass rate for the March/April 2025 National Foundation Certificate (NFC) to Higher National Diploma (HND) examinations.

The results were officially released on Friday by the Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Professor Fanuel Tagwira.

In a statement, Prof Tagwira commended the collective efforts of lecturers, students, parents, guardians, examination staff, and stakeholders in achieving the 72 percent overall pass rate.

He said their dedication to the teaching and learning process contributed significantly to this year’s performance.
“We appreciate the hard work of all those involved in the national examination system. Their commitment has once again yielded commendable results,” said Prof Tagwira.

HEXCO examination centres across the country have been instructed to collect the results from their respective regional offices starting today.
Students are advised to check with their institutions for further details on accessing individual results.
