High profile Caf course for Mat North

FOOTBALL coaches in Matabeleland North will get a rare opportunity to upgrade themselves when the Zimbabwe Football Association holds the first ever Caf C coaching course in the province early next month. Coaches in possession of Level Two are eligible for the high profile course. Zimbabwe Soccer Coaches Association, Hwange chapter chairman Edmore Sibanda said the course would be held in Hwange from 18 October and is expected to attract between 30 and 40 participants.

“As coaches we are glad that we are finally getting the opportunity to host this course in our province. It will be easier for coaches based here to attend and improve on their coaching badges.

“We have a lot of coaches who have not had the chance to better themselves and I feel this will be a great opportunity,” said Sibanda.
He said facilitators at the two-week course will be local coaches’ instructor, Gibson Homela and a foreign Caf instructor.

Sibanda said prospective participants will have to fork out $350 to be admitted for the course and the amount should be paid by 10 October.
