ZIFA Southern Region Division 1 championship contenders Highlanders Academy have vowed to bounce back from last week’s shock 1-2 loss to bitter rivals Chicken Inn Juniors. The Young Bosso take on ZRP Ntabazinduna on Sunday. The loss to Chicken Inn was a major blow to their championship hopes as it enabled pacesetters Talen Vision to extend their lead at the top of the league table to four points.

Young Bosso team manager Smart Moyo said the loss was their last of the season.

“We played well last week and it was unfortunate that we got a negative result. We are, however, planning to put our championship plans back on track this weekend with a win against the Ntabazinduna,” said Moyo.

“They are a good side but we also have a point to prove because we have to show that Highlanders still has a formidable junior policy with players that have the club at heart. We will play every game like a final,” he said.

Log leaders Talen Vision, will set the ball rolling with a match against relegation threatened CS Distributors at Njube Desert grounds.

Bottom of the table team East Rovers will be seeking their fourth win of the season when they welcome ZRP Bulawayo Province.

Saturday will see a mid-table clash between Mpopoma Pirates and Chicken Inn Juniors.

Fixtures

East Rovers v ZRP Byo Province, Toronto v Zimplow, Kombani v Zim Leopards, Talen Vision v CS Distributors, Ajax Hotspurs v LG Vultures, Lobengula Stars v Zimbabwe Saints, Mpopoma Pirates v Chicken Inn
