HIGHLANDERS have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Hardrock FC for the permanent transfer of highly-rated midfielder Mongameli Tshuma, ending weeks of speculation over the future of one of the club’s brightest young talents.
In a statement released on Thursday morning, Bosso said Tshuma will remain at the club for the rest of the 2026 season before completing his move to Hardrock on January 1, 2027.
While Highlanders did not disclose the transfer fee, sources close to the deal say Hardrock’s offer is believed to be in the region of US$200,000, matching the valuation the Bulawayo giants had placed on the midfielder.
The arrangement allows Highlanders to retain one of their key players for the remainder of the campaign as they continue chasing success in the league and cup competitions, while also securing a significant financial return.
“Highlanders Football Club confirms that an agreement has been reached for the permanent transfer of midfielder Mongameli Tshuma to HardRock Football Club, with effect from 1 January 2027,” the club said.
“Tshuma will remain with Highlanders FC for the remainder of the current football season before officially joining HardRock FC at the beginning of the 2027 football season.
“Mongameli remains committed and professional in his approach as the club continues to fight to achieve its targets in all the football competitions during this current football season.”
