HIGHLANDERS Darts Club recorded their second victory in as many games after they posted a convincing 29-10 win over PPC Wolves in the Bulawayo Metropolitan League on Wednesday night.
Their captain Lethukuthula Nkomo said he was relieved that they were now over the rough patch. He said the latest result should be a springboard for the club’s march to better times in the league.
“We played a good game and now that we have finally managed to collect maximum points we hope it will inspire us to get back on track,” said Nkomo.
Struggling Highlanders had a rough patch at the start of this season which saw them going for six games without picking up a point. They are on position 12 on the table with two points from eight matches.
Unbeaten Wisewaters clobbered Unit Fairbridge 20-19 to stay within sight of pacesetters Railstars.
Archers bounced back to thump Parkview Kanka 31-8 after last week’s shock defeat to Railstars – the first in over a year of league games.
New Dawn beat Parkview Lion 24-15 while Maisonic managed a 23-14 win over Zimbabwe School of Mines.
