Highlanders life members meet

Ngqwele Dube, Sunday News Correspondent
HIGHLANDERS Football Club life members meet this morning as they seek ways of getting financial stability at the club and discus the debt that is threatening the lifeline of the entity.

The meeting comes on the background of low payment of $20 monthly fee that had been initiated at the first meeting held in July.

Highlanders is swimming in debt with the club’s financial obligations now hovering at $750 000.

Chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede confirmed the meeting will be held between 10am and 12 noon today at Highlanders Clubhouse to review resolutions made in the previous gathering.

Gumede last week said the $20 payments were not compulsory but voluntary.
