Highlanders set for Centenary Charity Golf Classic

HIGHLANDERS will hold a Centenary Charity Golf Classic at Bulawayo Country Club on August 14 as part of the club’s 100-year celebrations.

The golf tournament is expected to headline Bosso’s centenary activities, bringing together sponsors, former players, supporters and members of the corporate sector in celebration of the club’s rich history.

A gala dinner will be held at Holiday Inn Bulawayo on August 13 ahead of the charity golf event.

The club said proceeds from the two events will go towards the Bosso community as Highlanders commemorate a century of existence.

The Centenary Charity Golf Classic forms part of Highlanders’ broader celebrations running under the theme “Beyond Football: Inspiring Generations.”

Highlanders have lined up several activities throughout the year, including community roadshows, cultural exhibitions, club awards and legacy-building initiatives.

Founded in 1926, Highlanders are one of Zimbabwe’s oldest and most successful football clubs, enjoying a huge following across the country.

The centenary celebrations are expected to honour Bosso’s achievements both on and off the field while strengthening the club’s relationship with the community and supporters.
