MASVINGO-BASED Ziya Cultural Theatre Trust, the producer of a hilarious comedy Sabhuku Vharazipa are working on producing Part 2 of the drama, an official has confirmed. The drama is a continuation of the first part that took fans by storm. In an interview, David Mubaiwa who plays character, Sabhuku Vharazipi said the long wait is almost over as shooting has been completed.
“We have completed the recording and we are only working on producing the compact discs. I can assure our fans that the wait for our second production is over and very soon the product will be on the market,” he said.

Mubaiwa said they took long to do the second production because of a few technical aspects they were attending to.
“We know that our fans have been waiting for our next project after Part One. We understand the demand, but there were a few technical modalities that needed to be sorted out,” he said.

He said they were working on the registration of the group and that has been done.
“We have registered our group as a trust. Now it is called Ziya Cultural Theatre Trust, a move which has opened a number of opportunities for funding,” he said.

He said the second production is a continuation from where part one ended.
“The new production is a continuation of the first one. It starts from Mbuya Amai John serving Sabhuku Vharazipi with a summons to appear in court. We expect our fans to enjoy every part because we have gone a gear up in perfecting our act,” he said.

The comic character said they have enlisted the services of professional artistes in coming up with the new production.
“We have romped in some professionals who assisted us in coming up with polished production. We now have a professional appeal and that will help us remain in the game,” he said.

Sabhuku Vharazipi is a hilarious comedy which deplores corrupt tendencies by headmen. Mubaiwa said their aim is to change the behaviour of traditional leaders and raise HIV and Aids awareness among other themes.
He said they received $4 000 to shoot Part 2.

“We would like to thank Culture Fund for giving us the money.
“The money has gone a long way in meeting the costs involved.
“We have managed to complete the shooting and anytime the DVD will be on the streets, but we want to try by all means to counter piracy,” he said.
