The video, which was shot at Horizon Club and features another rap artiste Rap.eezy, is a prelude to his up-and-coming album which is set for release in December in time to capitalise on the festive season.
Speaking to Chronicle Entertainment recently Nashie said he was trying to promote his music through the video, while also doing collaborative performances with other artistes who are already established.
“The purpose of the video is to get my name out there before the release of my album. Also for the purposes of promotion I try to link up with well established artistes out there. Previously I have shared the stage with artistes like Ngoni Kambarami, Maskiri and Trevor Dongo all in hope of get exposure which is important for any artiste,” said Nashie.
Speaking on the state of hip hop in Bulawayo, Nashie said the hip hop movement was moving towards the right direction, although they was an urgent need for a more unified effort if the city’s hip hop genre is to go forward.
“Look I think that hip hop in Bulawayo is growing but the artistes in the city need to work together,” he said.
Nashie’s album, which is slated for release on 1 December, is titled Emotions and will be the young artiste’s debut offering.
