MBARE-BASED hip hop artist, Tumbude, whose real name Tadiwanashe Muchenge, says ghetto life is the main inspiration for his music.
The 23-year-old rapper revealed the struggles and joys of ghetto which have built him into a ghetto ambassador whose mission is to educate and entertain the youths.
“I was born and raised in Mbare. A lot of things happen, good and bad in our day-to-day living and by observing and listening to the ghetto life I am inspired to sing about this life.
“Currently there is a lot of drug abuse going on not only with the youth but even parents and the elderly.
“It’s an unbearable situation and as an artist, I need to raise a voice against such issues and at the same time try to give a solution because these people take drugs for different reasons.
“My music is being received well and is on the rise judging from the response I get from people.
“The musical journey is tough but my support team made up of Boss MaFront, Brownstone The Boss and MC Smalls have been guiding me.
“I thank them for their unwavering support since day one.”
Tumbude recently released two singles titled ‘Four Five’ and ‘Hupenyu’ and is expected to release more music singles early next year.
His father and manager, Boss MaFront, added:
“It is important to support and guide our children in their endeavours.
“Parents, let’s do all we can to make sure our children are off drugs.
“I want to thank my counterparts Brownstone and MC Smallz who are helping my boy to be a well-groomed artist.”
