THE Minister of Sport and Recreation Makhosini Hlongwane will tonight officiate at the prize giving ceremony for the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Commissioner General’s Goodwill Charity fundraising golf tournament at Harry Allen Golf Club.

The amateur golfers from Bulawayo, Harare and Masvingo will take to the greens this morning for a worthy cause whose funds are meant to give a helping hand to widows, widowers and children of fallen officers or those who would have been hit by various calamities during their service.

“We are all set to go, so far I can safely say 80 golfers will take up their clubs tomorrow (today) morning and later in the day we will have our prize giving ceremony that will be officiated by the Minister of Sport and  Recreation,” said the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services’ regional spokesperson Garainashe Moyo.

He said the playing format will be a Four Ball better ball.

Four Ball is a match pitting two teams of two players (a total of four balls being played, hence the name) against each other using better ball scoring.

All players play their own ball throughout and at the end of each hole, the low score between the two partners on each team is that team’s score.
