Hockey teams leave for Cape Town

THE Zimbabwe Under-16 and Under-18 girls hockey teams left the country for South Africa where they will compete in the Cape Town schools hockey championships which starts today.Gibson Ngoma is the coach while Bridget Mhike is the team manager.

“We are hopeful that we are going to do well at the tournament as we have chosen the best players from across the country,” said Mhike.

“The team is going to play top sides from Cape Town and the exposure is good for the players. We will be representing the country and so we are looking forward to doing well at the event.”
