SENIOR citizens at Zororo Old People’s Home were treated to an early holiday surprise this morning, courtesy of a generous donation from the Zimbabwe Republic Police Manicaland Women’s Network.
The network presented the home with grocery donations and a wheelchair, bringing joy to the elderly inmates.
The wheelchair was donated to 84-year-old Sekuru Andiseni Rawuzhi, who is one of the nine inmates at the home.

The groceries, which included mealie meal, relish, and fruits, were handed over to the home’s assistant administrator, Ms Nyasha Mukosera, who thanked the network for the gesture.
“We would like to thank you for remembering us. This donation will go a long way. We depend on well-wishers, and we are hoping that we will get more like you soon. Thank you so much. The act will go a long way,” said Ms Mukosera.
Handing over the donations was the network’s chairperson, Chief Superintendent Estina Chikonzo said it was an early holiday gift to the elderly housed at the home.
“We have pledged that we are part of you, and we will continue donating to this institution. This is not our first time here, and it will not be the last,” she said.
