HOLLYWOOD make-up artist Jackie Muchanyuka-Mgido will host her ‘Christmas in July’ Beauty Empowerment Event on Saturday.
It will be a day dedicated to celebrating, uplifting and inspiring women through make-up, mentorship and establishing meaningful connections.
Breaking into the cosmetic industry in the United States was not a walk in the park for Jacque who has worked with high-profile celebrities in Hollywood. She attributed her success to her unwavering faith.
Mgido is the proud owner and creator of Vault Cosmetics and Vault Academy Make-up School.
In an interview, she said:
ep into their power, and embrace their beauty with confidence.
“This Saturday, we’re hosting our ‘Christmas in July’ Beauty Empowerment Event.
“We chose ‘Christmas in July’ as a symbolic celebration to bring joy, generosity and surprises during a time that often feels slow or stagnant.
“Just like Christmas, it’s about giving but instead of gifts under a tree, it’s a day dedicated to celebrating, uplifting and inspiring women through make-up, mentorship and meaningful connections.”
She has had the opportunity to work with the likes of US rapper Snoop Dog, RnB singer John Legend, actor and singer Jamie Foxx and big screen action movie star Sylvester Stallone. She launched her cosmetic products in Bulawayo earlier this year where 2013 Big Brother South Africa winner, Dillish Matthews, was the guest of honour.
“We’re offering heavily discounted Jacque Mgido products, free mini-makeovers, hands-on education and resources to help women feel beautiful inside and out.
“It’s a reminder that you don’t have to wait for December to celebrate yourself or start afresh.
“The event will feature live demos, make-up tutorials and product sampling, with an emphasis on helping women understand how to use make-up to enhance their natural features.
“We’ll also be talking about entrepreneurship, how to turn passion into profit and how to build a personal brand in the beauty industry – especially for aspiring artists and creatives in Zimbabwe.”
