HOLY Ten’s fans are angry.
They are unhappy that the controversial star has released a tour guide which does not include any local shows.
The hip hop artist has announced performances in Dubai and South Africa next month and this has left many of his fans unhappy.
They have been missing their favourite artist since he checked himself into rehabilitation in South Africa.
Some of his fans had been hoping that the rapper would celebrate his birthday with them at a show.Holy Ten has not yet confirmed where will he be performing on November 18, which is his birthday, but it’s unlikely that he will be here.
A few months ago, the rapper checked into a rehabilitation facility in South Africa to address his struggles with alcoholism.
This decision followed a troubling period marked by erratic behaviour and threats to people around him.
He checked in six weeks after he made foolish remarks about his wife, Kimberly Richards.
Posting about his return, Holy Ten, vowed to be a responsible artist and to conduct himself professionally.
“Over the past weeks, I have been in a deep process of learning, healing and rebuilding.
“I have learnt and continue to learn the importance of humility, responsibility and respect for authority, for family, for self and for the nation.
“Holy Ten remains the voice of the youth but today that voice speaks from a place of accountability and peace.”
In his statement, Holy Ten did not shed light as to why he decided to check himself into rehabilitation.
Holy Ten’s choice to only hold international shows in his tour guide has divided his local fan base.
“It’s disheartening to see Holy Ten neglecting his local fans. We’ve been supporting him all along and now he’s choosing to perform in Dubai and South Africa instead of Zimbabwe,” said one of his fans.
Another fan defended the artist.
“You guys are narrow minded so you mean he shouldn’t take these bookings?
“Holy Ten is a global artist and it’s natural for him to want to perform internationally. We should be proud of him for representing Zimbabwe on the world stage.”
Holy Ten has not yet publicly addressed the controversy surrounding his tour guide.
