The newly opened Homely House restaurant and bar has swiftly become Bulawayo’s latest go-to spot, offering an eclectic mix of traditional meal cuisines, relaxed vibes, and live band entertainment, thereby enhancing the city’s tourism appeal.

Nestled at Ascot Shopping Centre, this inviting venue is helmed by businessman Manu Mahaso and has provided employment opportunities to the local community.

For those seeking a tranquil retreat to sip ‘wise waters’ away from the city centre’s hustle and bustle, Homely House offers a fresh sanctuary. Both the interior and exterior of the venue have undergone impressive renovations, bringing them up to international leisure standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patrons.

The traditional meals served at Homely House enrich the cultural experience, contributing significantly to the area’s tourism draw.

“Homely House is designed for discerning adults, offering affordable yet high-quality food and beverages. Our unmatched service and menu, along with a five-star ambiance, make us a premier choice,” said Manu Mahaso.

“With live bands typically lighting up the scene on Friday and Saturday nights, and sometimes Sundays, the atmosphere is always vibrant. Our resident DJ, Sweeto, a seasoned entertainment icon, adds to the lively mood. We’re geared up for more excitement during the ZITF and also cater to sports fans with DStv,” he added. – @mthabisi_mthire
