Talented Afro-fusion singer David Hondoyedzomba, simply known as HD, is set to launch his new album tomorrow at Time and Jazz Café near Cresta Oasis in Harare.

Titled “HD” the album is likely to be Hondoyedzomba’s other step towards fame in the local music industry.

He has nurtured his talent over the past years and remained consistent with live shows. His talent saw him scooping the Chibuku Road to Fame crown and he has never looked back since then.

With a group of talented vocalists and instrumentalists, the musician is one of the promising voices on the local scene and his vision and humility have endeared him with promoters.

On “HD” he did a collaboration with Rute Mbangwa titled “Usandisiye”, which spices up other potentially explosive tracks of the release.

Mbangwa will be guest artist at the launch that will also feature musicians like Progress Chipfumo, Tatenda Pinjisi, Romeo Gasa, Crocodile Sounds and Crucial Mix.

Hondoyedzoma said he is excited to unveil the new release that he hopes will take him to another level.

“I have learnt a lot in the music industry over the past years and I learn new things every day.

‘‘I apply what I learn in the new works that I do and I am happy to be working with many fellow musicians on the day of the launch,” he said.

“I received positive feedback when I sampled the upcoming songs at my previous shows and I hope everyone out there will receive the songs the same way. I took my time to finalise the tracks and now it is up to the fans to have their say.”

Hondoyedzomba thanked Josh Hozheri of Time and Jazz Café for his support.

Hozheri said he is willing to support musicians that will be future stars.

“There are many talented musicians that will be future stars. David is one of them. I have confidence in his art and I know he has a bright future. We are ready to support him even after the launch,”saud Hozheri.

Numerous special guests will attend the launch.
