IT is not going to be business as usual in local authorities across the country and corrupt activities will soon be exposed, newly appointed Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere, has said.

Cde Kasukuwere said this in an interview on the sidelines of the installation of Happison Nxumalo as Chief Mpungu in Chipinge South constituency last Friday.

“It is certainly not going to be business as usual and I will take it upon myself to see to it that there will be zero tolerance on corruption. Whoever is not doing his work must go home. In fact, I will come down hard on errant local authorities. I will not hasten to talk about the Mutare City Council because I will be coming there to sort out the mess. Surely, how can we have people going for 14 months without being paid their salaries,” fumed Cde Kasukuwere.
