Honour your obligations for world-class municipal services

Blessing Chafesuka
From The Town Clerk’s Desk
HELLO there, hope I find you well!
As we have approach the final quarter of the year, I would like to extend my gratitude to our residents and ratepayers who continue to honour their obligations by paying their bills on time. The City has witnessed significant developments as a result of the commitment shown by our residents and ratepayers, who have remained steadfast despite the economic challenges we face as a nation.
We recently commissioned the new Chikanga Phase 2 Primary School and various pieces of equipment, a testament to the commitment of our valued residents to excellent service delivery in the city. I am proud to be part of a team that delivers a school every two years, and Chikanga Phase 2 Primary School will greatly alleviate the city’s educational needs. Although we still have a significant backlog in this area, I assure you that with your continued support, we will achieve our targets.
The newly commissioned equipment includes three tipper trucks, a multi-purpose motorised fire ladder, a water bowser, a refuse compactor, academy buses, a 26-seater bus, a 56-seater bus, a Toyota Land Cruiser, and a skip truck. These additions will significantly improve service delivery, addressing some of the challenges we have faced over the year.
As your Town Clerk, I commend the ratepayers and stakeholders for their commitment to excellent service delivery. The “Maintain an Up-To-Date Account” promotion has been instrumental in encouraging ratepayers to honour their obligations. Our monthly draws have seen ratepayers win various prizes, including 50-inch television sets, 210L deep freezers, and other consolation prizes. These winners have consistently maintained up-to-date accounts, demonstrating the importance of timeous settlement of bills.
I would like to assure our residents and stakeholders that with the necessary resources and support, we are committed to delivering world-class services to the residents of Mutare. By paying your bills on time and keeping your accounts up to date, you too can be eligible to win significant prizes in our monthly draws. Play your part and pay your bills on time to increase your chances of winning. I encourage all our ratepayers to participate in this exciting promotion and showcase their commitment to supporting excellent service delivery.

Our goal is to work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for our residents and make Mutare a better place to live, work, and visit.
