The tournament features schools that would have won the league in their local areas from Harare and will battle it out in the boys and girls categories.
However, Hoops 4 Hope director, Ngoni Mukukula, said they were hoping to invite a number of schools from outside Harare.
“The tournament is open to league winners from different areas and we end up with more schools from Harare.
“But for this tournament we will send invitations to one or two schools from Mutare, Marondera and Bindura.
“We already have 24 schools that are going to participate and are already in the process of playing in their leagues,” said Mukukula.
Mukukula said they are hoping to turn the event into a festival so that it brings together primary schools from all the country’s provinces.
