AN INTRUDER entered a house in Thorngrove suburb in Bulawayo and threatened to stab a woman before allegedly raping her while her children were watching.
The incident happened last Sunday at around 2.30am while the alleged victim was sleeping in the living room with her two daughters aged 12 and 16.
A family member who spoke to B-Metro said a man entered the living room while the victims were in deep sleep.
After that he allegedly threatened to stab them to death if they screamed and tied the two girls’ hands together.
“He then locked the sitting room door and dragged the woman aside before raping her while her timid daughters were watching,” said the family member.
After that he took two cellphones and US$20 before he fled. The incident was reported to the police. Bulawayo Provincial Spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.
“We confirm the incident and we are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect,” said Insp Ncube.
