ZIMBABWE’S sole female house-kwasa artiste, Viviane “Nomakanjani” Nkiwane is shooting a DVD of her second album, Bazali Bami, which was released early this year. The DVD is expected to be on the shelves at the end of this month.
The 25-year-old singer and dancer, who is affectionately known as Zim Slizer by most house-kwasa fanatics, said some of the video shots were captured this week.
“Following the release of my second album Bazali Bami early this year, I have planned to give my fans the full package of this offer by working on a DVD.
“Video shots of some of the tracks began this week. Most of the shots will capture scenes of selected areas in Harare and Bulawayo.
“The whole package will be complete end of August and I hope the DVD will enhance my appeal to fans,” said Nkiwane who is based in Harare.
The Entumbane-bred artiste seems to be eager to conquer the whole of Zimbabwe as she aims at taking her DVD to ZBCtv for airplay soon after its completion.
Zim Slizer rose to fame in 2011 following the release of her debut album, Nomakanjani, which received heavy play on the airwaves.
Hits such as Engikwenzayo and Birthday still dominate play lists at most parties.
Nkiwane also staged a splendid performance during the Bulawayo Comes Alive concert which was held in the City of Kings in May.
Her voice and gyrating moves on stage proved to many that Nkiwane is poised to match the standards of renowned female musicians such as Sandra Ndebele.
The fame of Zim Slizer is not only confined within the nation of Zimbabwe but it stretches beyond borders.
In South Africa she has also built a strong fan base.
