Hove to be buried tomorrow

Veteran author Chenjerai Hove, who died last week in Norway, will be buried tomorrow at his rural home in Copper Queen, Gokwe.

His body arrived in the country yesterday and a church service will be held today at 9am at Nyaradzo Funeral Services chapel.

A family spokesperson said there will be last rites at the family home in Chadcombe at 10am before the funeral cortège proceeds for the rural home in Copper Queen, Gokwe where he will be buried tomorrow at 10am.

Meanwhile, mourners are gathered at his home, 10 Ashburton Road, Chadcombe, Harare.

Hove is famed for his great writings that include novels “Bones”, “Guardians of the Soil”, “Shadows” and “Shebeen Tales”.

He succumbed to liver failure on July 12.
