WHO issued the official documents which some thieves used to transport scores of stolen goats from Kariba to Harare?
That’s the question which is puzzling police who have intensified investigations into circumstances surrounding how the goats, stolen in Siyakobvu, ended up being brought to the capital.
All the stolen goats had official documentation, which cleared their transportation, to Harare.
The goats were recovered in Waterfalls.
It led to the arrest of Munashe Charamba (20) Temba Murwira (30) Franklin Chiramba (36) and Liminus Zhou (38).
National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said the four have been taken to Siyakobvu to face justice.
“Investigations have since begun with a view to ascertaining how the suspects got documents to travel with stolen goats from Siyakobvu to Waterfalls,” said Ass Comm Nyathi. “The suspects had documents approved by some police and veterinary department officers.
“Some of the goats had already found a market when the suspects were arrested and 168 goats were reported to have been stolen in Siyakobvu.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police will leave no stone unturned in an effort to bring all the culprits to book,” he said.
