HOW MINE ace Kudakwashe Musharu says he has no hard feelings after being excluded from the Warriors squad which takes on Tanzania this weekend. Musharu who has been scoring for fun in the Castle Lager Premiership campaign since joining the gold miners in January was not included in the 22-man squad called by Warriors coach Ian Gorowa to face Tanzania in the first round of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Warriors coach opted for South Africa-based Simba Sithole, Cuthbert Malajila, Tendai Ndoro and Kingstone Nkhatha to lead the frontline.
Musharu who is leading the goal scoring charts with six goals, said he would not be perturbed by the snub.
“I have no hard feelings for not being included in the national team. I have to wait for my chance and I believe patience pays. I am just concentrating on my game and to keep scoring for my club,” he said.
Musharu who joined How Mine along with young goalkeeper Bernard Donavan, Edmore Muzanenhamo and Marvel Samaneka at the beginning of the year, became an instant hit in their Caf Confederation Cup adventure, banging five goals.
The striker said he is gunning for the top goal scorer’s award.
“Things are going well for me now. I am doing what the club bought me for. I am happy that I am delivering.
“My target is to be a top goalscorer and help the team win the championship,” said Musharu.
How Mine might lose Musharu if he gets a deal with Durban side AmaZulu in South Africa where he had a trial stint last month.
“I hope the deal will go through, but I am still waiting for their response. I want to continue doing my job at How Mine,” he said.
If the deal goes through he will become the second How Mine player to be signed by a South African club this year after Simba Sithole joined Ajax Cape Town in February.
AmaZulu are home to former Highlanders and national team goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini and defender Carlington Nyadombo.
