THIs WEEK, we are going to show you how to make a meat loaf.
Ingredients
Lean ground beef;
Onions and garlic;
Breadcrumbs and eggs:
Ketchup;
Milk;
Seasonings — Fresh parsley, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper;
Glaze — Combined ketchup, white vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder and onion powder
Instructions
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easier clean-up, and preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
Sautee onion in oil drops over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until softened and golden.
Transfer it to a plate and set aside to cool slightly.
Start making the meat loaf mixture — In a large bowl, add all of the meat loaf ingredients and mix until well combined (your hands are the best tool for mixing — put on disposable gloves if you want to).
Add meat to the pan and shape it into a loaf about eight-inches long, four inches wide and three inches tall. Alternatively, shape the meat loaf in a baking sheet and then lay it in the tray.
Bake uncovered at 350˚F for 40 minutes.
Spread the glaze over the meat loaf, then return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
Rest the meat loaf for 10-15 minutes before serving, and it will be much easier to slice. — Natashakitchen
