How to pass your examinations

SUCCESS is not an accident. Success is predictable. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing.

The choices that you make determine your success. You can either choose self-defeat and self-pity or self-motivation and self-encouragement. Success is not luck. If you don’t read, you won’t pass.
Consider these points as you are preparing for your examination.

Hard Work
Don’t believe in luck, believe in hard work. Device a study timetable that you follow and read. Ensure you extend your study in the evening or wake up at midnight and read.

Patience
If you are losing the patience, you are losing the battle. Most students give up at stage one. Don’t give up early. You might be doing many subjects, but balance all these subjects and read. You can read three to four subjects a day or one subject per day. Be patient, don’t be overwhelmed or stressed. These subjects might be difficult to understand but remain determined. The more you read and revise the more you understand.

Sacrifice
Nothing comes easy in life. You have to work hard. Intense revision is wanted.

Just tell yourself that, from now up to mid-October when exams start, I will use my time effectively. l will sacrifice my phone time, time with friends, time watching TV, time doing unnecessary things e.g. dating, drinking alcohol or smoking. Instead, all my time will be dedicated to my school-work.

Consistency
Consistency is what transforms average into excellence. Without consistency, you will never achieve greater success. Remain focused on your school-work up until the end.

Discipline
Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing. Develop this good character and until you finish your exams. Eliminate all the negative distractors and be a good girl/ boy.

Self Confidence
Be confident in yourself. The more you read, the more you become confident. Believe in yourself and don’t doubt. You can do it. It’s only in the mind. Don’t listen to negative talk, or what your friends say about you. Success is waiting for you.

NB*Remember to put God first in everything that you do.
