LADIES, I know I’m not the only one with a shoe addiction. I LOVE SHOES! You can never have too many pairs of shoes, the different colours, shapes and styles. Wearing new shoes tends to make one happy and you feel confident in the outfit you are wearing. On the other hand you need to know how to shop for shoes. Sometimes when you try on a shoe in the shop it feels fine, then as time goes it gets uncomfortable.
Buy shoes from a brand known for quality and comfort. Many well-established footwear brands are known for their reliable, functional footwear. Buy a pair of shoes from one of these brands to make sure that you are getting a high quality product. Do go for quality so that it lasts longer.
Buying the right shoes is an investment, not only are they expensive but the health of your feet is important. But how do you find ones that fit properly and provide support? Identify the shoes that cause pain. If you’re a woman, most of these will be shoes with narrow toes or high heels. Check to see if the toe of the shoe is narrower or shorter than your own toes.
Wait until the afternoon to shop for shoes — your feet naturally expand with use during the day and may swell in hot weather.
Wear the same type of socks that you intend to wear with the shoes so that you get the right fit.
Stand in the shoes you intend to buy. Make sure you have at least a quarter to a half-inch of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe. Walk around in the shoes to determine how they feel. Is there enough room at the balls of the feet?
Do the heels fit perfectly, or do they pinch or slip off? Don’t think that the shoes just need to be “broken in” or that they’ll stretch with time. Find shoes that fit from the start. Trust your own comfort level rather than a shoe’s size or description. Sizes vary from one manufacturer to another.
Just like jeans, dresses, and anything else we wear our shoe size is going to vary from brand to brand. So just because you’re usually a size 7 in a sneaker, don’t go into a store and just grab any size 7 sandal, high heel, or even other sneaker brand. It might sound like its the obvious, but always, always try on the shoes you want to guarantee that the size you think you need is the one that actually fits.
Another fit tip. Pay attention to width! Place any shoe you’re considering next to your foot, and compare the widest part of your foot to the widest part of the shoe. If they’re the same size, great! If not, don’t buy them; they’re guaranteed to turn out to be uncomfortable later on.
IF YOU CAN’T WALK IN IT DON’T BUY IT!
When it comes to high heels, women need to be careful. Beyonce does dance in heels, it takes practice, we are not all King Bey!
It’s ok to rock your kitten heels if you can’t pull off the Pink bottoms by Pokello. What’s important is your comfort and looking good, if the shoe is too high leave it, we won’t judge. Don’t grab the wrong attention in a heel you can’t move in.
Wear comfortable shoes you can easily remove and put on when shoe shopping to save on time. Invest in shoes for different occasions. There is no way you can wear heels to the gym, get a good pair of work out sneakers. This will make your shoes last longer now that you will be changing them up depending on the occasion.
Every woman deserves a good pair of shoes, it does not matter that you have more. Whether you will be called a hoarder or an admirer, one thing is for sure, your shoe game says a lot about your personality. Most ladies admit that shoes make them happy and they can never have too many. — Additional information from Online sources
