Hubby hits wife with axe handle

handle over a house ownership dispute.
Roselyne Charlie (41), is recuperating at Chitungwiza Central Hospital where she is nursing multiple fractures in her arms, ribs and legs.
Tsuro is an officer with the Registrar-General’s Office at Makombe Building in Harare.
Police spokesperson Inspector Ja-mes Sabau yesterday confirmed the arrest.
“We don’t apply the law selectively in this country,” said Insp Sabau.
“The accused has been arrested this afternoon (yesterday) and is currently detained at Chitungwiza Police Station. Police were actually looking for him.”
Yesterday, Tsuro briefly detained journalists chasing the story at a house in Chitungwiza as he protested against the coverage of the incident.
Tsuro and a team of rowdy youths threatened to beat up the journalists but were restrained by a local councillor Tichaona Chapfika.
Speaking from her hospital bed yesterday, Charlie alleged that the dispute started after Tsuro wanted to change into his name a house which she had built.
This did not go down well with the wife who asked that they should first get married lawfully. The two are customarily married.
“I was saved by the landlord and I was taken to the hospital unconscious,” she said.
Neighbours and Musasa Project director, Mrs Netty Musanhu, who also visited Charlie in hospital, condemned Tsuro’s behaviour.
