A HARARE man and his girlfriend ganged up and dragged his wife to court for disturbing their peace.
Vusa Moyo and girlfriend, Dorine Chombo, approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against his wife Zondia Kandolo.
Vusa and Dorine accused Zondia of disturbing their peace through verbal and emotional abuse.
The court heard that their problems started when Zondia went to Zambia for work and stayed for a long time.
Her absence, the court heard, prompted Vusa to move in with his girlfriend Dorine.
“When she came back from Zambia, she started insulting me and calling me names.
“I was pregnant at that time and she came to my house and snatched my phone.
“That is when I had a miscarriage,”said Dorine.
Vusa also concurred with Dorine, accusing his wife of emotional abuse.
In her defence, Zondia denied the allegations.
She stated that she never visited Dorine’s place of residence and neither did she ever insult her.
She also rejected accusations of evicting her husband from their matrimonial home.
Magistrate Machingura dismissed the application for lack of merit.
