Hubby, mother, wife team up against second wife

It was at dusk on a weekday whenA� Sibonokuhle Ncube the second wife ofA� Shepherd Masikona was attacked by her husband, his mother Margaret Masikona and first wife Sazini Tshuma.

She didna��t see it coming because she was bathing and her body was covered in soap. She was beaten with her eyes closed trying to keep the soap from making her eyes itchy.

The trio had forcibly gained entry into her bedroom at a house in Mkoba 10 where she stays with them.

They grabbed her by the neck assaulting her with fists all over her body, demanding that she moves out of the house because it belongs to Shepherd and the first wife.

All that Ncube could do was scream at the top of her lungs, thereby attracting the attention of a neighbour identified in court as Mr Mahachi who rescued her before reporting to the police.

Gweru Magistrate Judith Taruvinga remanded them to 10 August and castigated them for their a�?mercilessa�? assault as they appeared before her facing a physical abuse charge.

a�?What you did is very unwise and unacceptable. How can you gang up on one person who could not even defend herself? You are remanded to August for sentencing,a�? said Magistrate Taruvinga. .
