A HARARE woman has accused her estranged husband of sexually abusing her.
Juliet Mapapu told the Harare Civil Court yesterday that Shepherd Gurusa insults her, and calls her a witch, and pleaded for a protection order against him.
Juliet also accused Shepherd of pushing to bring a second wife to their matrimonial home and trying to evict her.
“When I asked Shepherd for money to maintain our children, he insulted me calling me a witch because he had been involved in an accident.
“I don’t want him to bring someone else to our matrimonial home we built together,” Juliet.
In his defence, Shepherd said: “She is bitter because I told her that I am going to marry another wife. It’s been two years since we separated and I am taking care of my children.
“We are husband and wife under the customary marriage, which allows me to marry more wives, and she is against it.”
Magistrate Rutendo Machingura dismissed the protection order application for lack of merit.
