Leading financial institution BancABC who are Highlanders and Dynamos’ principal sponsors have availed huge financial incentives for the teams and players, further adding to the excitement ahead of the Battle of the Titans clash, likely to see a sellout crowd.
Winners of the match will walk away with a cool $15 000 and with Bosso players owed that much, the money has come at probably the most opportune time. A goal inside the first five minutes will guarantee the scoring team $5 000 while each goal scored during the entire match will be rewarded with $3 000 cash.
The player who excels on the day will walk away with a cool $1 500. The two teams will also be provided with luxury coaches for transport while their camping costs will be taken care of by the bank.
Before the match fans will be reminded of the yesteryear clashes between the two Zimbabwean giants through a curtain raisers’ match featuring the two teams’ former stars like Rahman Gumbo, Peter Ndlovu, Jerry Sibanda, Netsai Moyo for Highlanders and
Moses Chunga, Stanley Chirambadare, Biggie Zuze, among other former Dynamos players.
Each of the yesteryear stars will be given $100 in appearance fees by BancABC.
BancABC’s head of marketing Cynthia Chizwina, confirmed the bank’s package and added that spectators will also not be left out.
“We also have prizes for the best dressed superfans and best celebration moves by the fans. They stand to win DSTV decoders as well as 25 litres of fuel coupons,” said Chizwina.
The match will certainly bring the country to a virtual standstill with the capital literally turned into two colours, black and blue.
Highlanders are seeking to end a six year jinx since they last celebrated a league victory over their Harare opponents, save for the Independence Cup they won under Mkhuphali Masuku through penalty shootouts last year.
In the first leg at Barbourfields Stadium the match ended 1-1, Takesure Chinyama scoring inside two minutes for Dynamos before Milton Ncube’s cheeky header levelled matters for Tshilamoya. Two players stood out on that day, Ocean Mushure for Dynamos and Eric Mudzingwa for Highlanders.
