Human Resource and Administration Division

divided into four sections namely; Human Resource Administration, Administration, Employee Relations, and Training and Development.
The major functions of the division are:
l to develop and implement recruitment, selection, promotion, retention, performance management and employee benefits management policies
l to provide support services in order to enhance operational efficiency of the Authority through the procurement of goods and services to the best advantage of the Authority
l to bring industrial harmony in the work place
l to continue professional development and to get the best from those who work for ZIMRA

Achievements:
l Setting up of the Authority’s organisational structure at inception in 2001.
l Establishment of a fully functional in-house Training Centre whose goal is to impart skills to ZIMRA officers.
l Transformation of ZIMRA into a learning organization.
l Introduction of a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in Fiscal Studies in 2006, and a masters component in 2010 in conjunction with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
l Seamless integration of the former departments of Taxes and Customs and Excise.
l Introduction of e-learning and other innovative training media.
l Successful implementation of the Balanced Score Card performance management system.
l Spearheaded the accreditation of ZIMRA’s Training Centre as a Regional Training Centre in the Southern and Eastern Africa Region of the World Customs Organisation (WCO).
l Won the Zimbabwe Institute of Management Human Resource Development award in 2005, as well as the shield of innovation.
l Launched a new look uniform in line with international best practice.
