A MANHUNT has been launched to bring to book a 15-year-old Chipinge teenager who allegedly deflowered 11-year-old twins recently and ordered them not to tell anyone.Deputy Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda said the alleged rapist and the twins were neighbours.

The incident happened in ZBS high-density suburb of Chipinge.

He said on July 27, at around 7pm, the twins’ grandmother retired to bed and left them doing some dishes.

The accused (name withheld) asked for some match sticks from the girls and they gave him.

He later came back again asking for the same and the twins refused.

“He dragged them into his house.  He locked the doors and raped them before releasing them.  The twins did not report the matter. The matter came to light after one of the twins divulged the heinous act to her mother,” he said.

Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda appealed to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the teenager to contact nearest police station.
