Hwange secretary Burzil Dube said his club would not rest until there was justice in football and would take up the issue with the Arbitration Centre.
“We are certainly taking the issue up with the Commercial Arbitration. We want justice, we cannot allow such decisions to be made . . . they are not in the interests of the game.
“As Hwange Football Club we have no doubt that another court will see the issue differently and come up with a decision that promotes football. The replay was still a harsh decision for us, we deserved maximum points for the part played by Dynamos marshals who admitted assault and paid admission of guilt fines,” said Dube.
He said Dynamos had not appealed against the decision of the Premier League Disciplinary Committee within seven days which should have seen the case being thrown out.
“We understand they appealed and paid the relevant fees after 21 days which should have seen their case being thrown out. We want to see evidence as to when that was all done. Hwange will exhaust all channels on this,” said the fired-up Chipangano secretary.
Dube said their case and the one where Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu was harassed before a match in Harare makes Rufaro Stadium an unfavourable environment to play at.
“It is now dangerous to play at Rufaro Stadium. What has happened there before instils a sense of fear on anyone, the PSL is better advised to have a look at these issues as football has been brought into disrepute.
“As we speak our players and coaches are still traumatised by that. The two fixtures they have fulfilled in Harare since then have seen the club take crest-fallen heroes. We might consider not playing there anymore if we are to get that kind of treatment,” said Dube.
Two weeks ago, gate marshals manning Rufaro for Harare City harassed the Highlanders team with some of them demanding Kaindu’s identification papers and work permit.
