“It’s a celebration of life. If we can look, from around 2020 to 2022, we lost so many loved ones due to Covid-19.

“And one person who was here, said he was on a comma for 37 days and by God’s grace he made it.

“But I don’t know others who were in the audience today who were listening, who made it.

“So it was a celebration of life through hymns and that’s why we had this event.”

Mlalazi said, he is so excited on the success of the event.

“I am so excited that we had local musicians here, a bulk of artists from Zimbabwe, we had a few from South Africa.

“We had an orchestra here, a band that was fused with South Africans and Zimbabweans.

“It was all amazing, we had worship.”

The Ndomutevera hit-maker who ended 2023 on a high note after bagging several awards at home and regionally feels, in worship there is no competition.

“In worship, it’s not really about surpassing a level but it’s about what God gives you.

“We wait to see what God has given us. This project that you saw here today was being recorded and we really have to look forward to it because it’s going to be released in the coming year.

“The Vine is also celebrating 10 years, there is going to be an album with it.

“So many major collaborations coming our way, so it’s what God gives us. If God says we are going this direction, we will certainly take that direction.

“We will not tire, we will go exactly that direction,” he said.
