I DON’T USE JUJU, SAYS BUSINESSMAN AMID VICIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA TROLLS

BUSINESSMAN Moses Chipi, the owner of Bakers King, has rubbished social media claims that one of his shops caught fire due to his use of juju.

Chipi is a successful businessman whose rags-to-riches story has inspired many young people to venture into entrepreneurship. His fast-food chain, with outlets in Chegutu, Chitungwiza and Harare, has gained popularity.

However, an electrical fault at one of his shops prompted what Chipi described as malicious attempts to tarnish his name and damage the image and reputation of his organisation.

“I was utterly shocked reading the malicious and damaging story on social media. First of all, I am a God-fearing person. I have worked hard to be where I am.

“It was not an easy road as I started from scratch selling doughnuts in the streets. I later employed some people who walked around the streets with buckets full of doughnuts to sell.

“That is how I started my business,” he said. Chipi said he was grateful to the Government for providing him with a loan that enabled him to expand his business.

“Government gave me a loan to start my business on a large scale and I am forever grateful,” he said.

“The fire was caused by an electrical fault and nothing else. The good Lord has been generous to my family and business. I have never used juju in any of my businesses. This success is due to the toil of my sweat,” said Chipi.

He added: “Is it a crime for one to hail from Chipinge? God will fight my battle,” said Chipi.

“I have been blessed enough to also help those in dire need in society.

“Why would a sane person burn his own business to avoid paying salaries? Is that realistic?

“I am paying school fees for quite a number of less-privileged children through philanthropic work.

“It has been my passion to be part of the human system,” Chipi has created numerous employment opportunities.

“Bakers King often provides affordable dining options, making entrepreneurship in this space accessible to a wider range of individuals, including those from diverse economic backgrounds.

“I want to encourage and urge other entrepreneurs out there to learn the importance of community involvement and how it can enhance brand loyalty and customer relationships,” said Chipi.
