‘I now have a side chick’

A MARRIED woman yesterday failed in her bid for a protection order, against her husband, whom she accused of allegedly threatening to kill her.

Juliet Antonio had also accused her husband, Bob Madimutsa, of physical and verbal abuse.

But magistrate Rutendo Machingura dismissed the application.

Juliet claimed she was forced to leave their matrimonial home because of the alleged abuse.

“On August 15, I asked him to give me money to buy relish, but he started insulting me.

“He claims that I use money recklessly by buying fancy things.

“One time, he kicked me when I was pregnant with our 10-year-old daughter, to the extent that I bled. “He is very abusive,” Juliet claimed.

Bob said his wife was a liar.

“The day she asked for money I did not insult her but, rather, I told her that I had no money.

“She then grabbed my private parts and said I am squandering money with prostitutes.

“We now sleep in separate bedrooms.

“She once left for South Africa, leaving the children in my care, including her sister’s child. I was the one who was paying school fees, buying food and all. It’s been only 10 months since she returned.

“Unfortunately, I am a man, I now have a side chick, but I admit I do love my wife,” Bob said.
