RAPPER Takudzwanashe “Shonaboi” Mutsvairi says he wants to be the best Shona rapper.
Buoyed by the success of his new song titled Nguva, featuring Leo Magozz, which is trending on YouTube, he believes he has the talent to market the Shona language to the world.
“Nguva means time and we don’t control time, we can’t predict the future and we can’t undo what’s already done.
“We learn and try by all means to move on, we try something new until we produce something on the ground. It’s not by choice but it’s by God’s grace, that’s the meaning of the song,” he said.
The song, which was recorded by Vince Beats of Zero53, is actually trending on YouTube, courtesy of music executive producer, Zeb Tsikira .
“The song was released five days ago and I am actually on number 15, (15 on Trending for Music) and I am happy with the progress.
“I see myself as an icon.
“I want to be a businessman and I want to support it through my music and I want to be the best Shona rapper.
“My plan for this year is to produce good music, inspiring and delivering positive messages to the people. I need to start something that I call mine and help upcoming artists also,” he said.
