UPCOMING jiti musician, Blessing ‘Mr Something’ Kamudyariwa, says he has the talent to be the new King of the genre and even eclipse Baba Harare.
Mr Something has taken social media by storm with his jiti songs.
The 25-year-old has released some singles which have been welcomed by jiti fans.
Songs like Tumirayi Kupenya, Hande Kumafaro and Ndauya have been welcomed by his fans.
In an interview with H-Metro, Mr Something said:
“I started singing in 2022 and gained more fans with my song Ndauya.
“Currently I am working on my new song that will be released in October called ‘Ndiri Wemvana’.
“What inspired me to sing jiti music is because of our culture, jiti has more of our culture in it and it promotes our own Zimbabwean culture.”
He added:
“Jiti music has no boundaries, it can be listened to by everyone regardless of age and occasions, it suits all occasions.
“I am facing some challenges from the people who are looking down upon me but my motto is to push on with my music career.”
His management team say it has been impressed by his focus, and hard work, especially after the death of his mother which turned him into his family’s bread winner.
