KELVIN Kaindu, the former Bosso coach who quit the club a fortnight ago by mutual consent, is wishing Bosso the best run in the Chibuku Super Cup in which they clash with Harare City in Harare on Sunday.
Kaindu hopes the team will also do well in the remaining five league games.
“I love Highlanders, I love the players and the passionate fans. I urge the fans to support the team and I wish them well,” said Kaindu from his base in Zambia.
Kaindu is following events at Bosso from his Lusaka home and even after the 4-0 whacking by Caps United last Sunday, he still hopes for the best.
There is no guarantee he could have won the match against Caps United.
There are unconfirmed reports that hooligans were paid to throw missiles after Bosso lost to ZPC Kariba.
According to sources, when Kaindu briefed Kalusha Bwalya, the Football Association of Zambia boss on the disturbances, he was advised to quit Bosso. It however, seems before Bwalya’s advice, Kaindu had already decided to leave having taken the trouble to bid the boys farewell soon after the 1-3 defeat to ZPC Kariba at home. He had even advised some members of the media of his decision before reversing his position later in a turn of events that almost turned into a circus.
He was succeeded by his deputy Mark Mathe.
After the heavy defeat to Caps United, Bosso engaged Cosmas Zulu as technical advisor.
Highlanders have not won the league title since 2006.
