ONE of Tedious Matsito’s former band members says he misses the good old days when the singer was still alive.

Shame Jonifani, better known as Mwana Guruve in the music industry, said he appreciates the grooming and inspiration he got from the late sungura musician.

Mwana Guruve was Matsito’s rhythm guitarist from 2010 up to the time the musician died.

“I really miss Mukoma Tadious.

“He was my brother, mentor and also friend.

‘‘We worked together for a long time and his departure was a huge loss to me and the industry as well.

“However, his departure taught me to be strong and I decided to go my way since it was always my wish,” said Mwana Guruve.

Since Matsito’s death, Mwana Guruve has released a single titled Mandipa Mukana, in which he joined forces with Matsito’s son.

He said he was happy that the single was embraced well by Zimbabweans.

Mwana Guruve said the music industry is not easy as it requires a lot of commitment and hard work.

“Indima ine makata asi inoda kushinga uye kuzvibata,” he said.

Mwana Guruve said he is currently working on his first album which he hopes will be done by the end of month.

“The album will be titled Kumavambo and has six tracks,” he said.
