The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was voted the best users of information and communication technologies among Government ministries in 2013 at the Zimbabwe ICT Achievers Awards held at the University of Zimbabwe last week. The awards, being held for the fourth consecutive year, are a brainchild of the Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services meant to identify and reward topflight ICT users in Government.

They are also meant to encourage other institutions and departments to embrace the latest ICTs.

For coming up as the top ICT Ministry for 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs walked away with a floating trophy and a certificate.

Zimbabwe has seen tremendous technological growth since Government created a special ministry to cater for the sector.
