Cyberoam, a Sophos company securing organisations with product offering network gateway, and Integrated Digital Security Solutions (IDSS) have come up with a unique blend of network security, productivity, connectivity and visibility solutions for the enterprise market in Zimbabwe.
Integrated Digital Security Solutions chief executive Mr Onias Ndebele was optimistic that the new solutions will add security and convenience to the users at large.
“Given the complex environments faced by educational institutions, where multiple students, staff and guests access the internet over shared machines and personal devices, Cyberoam is there to show how one can pinpoint the individual user that has tried to access unauthorised websites, use non-academic applications or download virus-carrying files,” he said.
Speaking at the introduction presentation of Cyberoam, IDSS presales-assistance manager Mr Siddesh Motiwale said: “Cyberoam Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) with Layer 8 Identity-based technology offer actionable intelligence and controls to enterprises that allow complete security controls over L2-L8 for their future-ready security.”
He added that, more things are now pushed through the web and this tends to make all the information prone to attack, therefore there is need to deploy security measures, which ensures that as the technology is moving the security is also moving at the same pace.
“We need to adapt to the changes happening in the world as the globe has become dynamic.
“There is also need to be professional in this process of adapting to the changes going on,” said Mr Motiwale.
Known for being the fastest growing network security vendors across the globe and the only IT security UTM vendor that enables enterprises to get complete visibility into their user activities in the network, Cyberoam UTM has a range of appliances that suit requirements of SOHO and SMEs and have unveiled a range of security products last year.
With IDSS as the contracted vendor, Cyberoam is among products that will enhance digital security in Zimbabwe.
The corporate data should not be leaked, stolen or abused as it is one of the most vital properties of any institute.
Since digital threats are happening daily there is need for due diligence and constant upgrades and updates to avert the new and sophisticated attacks against our systems and data.
