AN Insuza man who accidentally killed his seven month-old baby in a domestic dispute with his wife appeared in court yesterday facing murder charges.

Jeffrey Tshuma, 25, of Masayi Tshuma’s homestead appeared before Bulawayo provincial magistrate Charity Maphosa who remanded him in custody to August 13.

He was not asked to plead but advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Prosecuting, Nkathazo Dlodlo told the court that on July 27, Tshuma had a domestic dispute with his wife.

“He then picked up a hosepipe intending to strike his wife but missed. Instead he hit his seven-month-old baby girl who was in her mother’s arm on the forehead. The baby died later on its way to the clinic,” Dlodlo told the court.
